The Bryan College softball team put together a dominant day at home, sweeping Milligan in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader. The Lions took Game 1 with a commanding 10-4 victory before securing the sweep with an 8-5 win in Game 2.
Game 1: Bryan 10, Milligan 4
Bryan set the tone early, jumping ahead in the first inning with three runs thanks to a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch and a walk. Milligan cut the lead to 3-2 in the fourth, but the Lions answered back with three runs of their own before tacking on four more in the fifth to secure the win.
Key Performances:
- A. Presley went 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs, including a pair of doubles.
- M. Lee drove in 3 RBIs, highlighted by a two-run double in the fifth.
- Cal. Green, D. Hogrefe, and B. Malone each added RBIs.
- D. Hogrefe pitched a complete game, striking out five while allowing 10 hits and three earned runs over seven innings.
Game 2: Bryan 8, Milligan 5
The Lions kept rolling in Game 2, using a big fourth inning to break things open. J. Santillan delivered the clutch hit of the game, smashing a bases-clearing triple to give Bryan a 5-0 lead. Milligan made a late push, but Bryan held strong to complete the sweep.

- J. Santillan led the offense with a three-run triple.
- S. Schaffer and M. Lee each added RBI singles.
- Cal. Green contributed with an RBI sacrifice fly.
- K. Smith earned the win, pitching six innings with five strikeouts.
- M. Lee recorded the save, closing out the game in the seventh.
