BARBOURVILLE, KY – Bryan College's struggles continued Tuesday as the Lions dropped a 3-0 decision to Union Commonwealth, falling to 1-10-1 overall and 1-6-1 in conference play.
Union Commonwealth improved to 7-2-3 (6-0-2 in conference) with the home victory, dominating possession and outshooting Bryan 18-6 in the match played in Barbourville, Kentucky.
The Bulldogs showcased their attacking depth, putting 11 of their 18 shots on target. Eduardo Ribeiro opened the scoring in the 40th minute with an unassisted goal to give Union Commonwealth a 1-0 halftime advantage.
The home team struck quickly in the second half when Tyrique Bailey-Edwards converted a Nathan Porter assist just 1:43 into the period to make it 2-0. Oriol Gásquez Pérez added the final goal in the 61st minute, finishing off a feed from Laurin Fürmeier to cap the scoring at 3-0.

Justus Feit turned in a strong performance, making eight saves to prevent a larger margin of defeat. Union Commonwealth keeper Gabriel Mendoza faced minimal pressure, making just two saves while recording the clean sheet.
Union Commonwealth held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks and controlled much of the possession throughout the match. The physical contest saw 25 total fouls called, with Union Commonwealth charged with 14 and Bryan with 11. Five yellow cards were issued, including three to Bryan players.

Beckham Davidson led the Lions' attack with four shots, though only two were on target. The Lions managed just two shots on goal for the entire match.
The loss extends Bryan's difficult season as the Lions search for answers heading into the final stretch of their campaign. They will host Spartanburg Methodist on Saturday at 1:30 PM.
