Kingsport, TN - The Bryan College baseball team traveled to Kingsport to compete in the AAC Conference Tournament. The Lions took on Union College for the championship game. The Lions started things off in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a sac-fly from Devin Ogg that scored Bradley Prince. In the 3rd inning Union went ahead 2-1 but the Lions were able to respond with a Bass Cooper solo home run to tie things up at 2. In the 5th inning Union went ahead by 3 going into the next inning. 

Bryan was unable to respond in the bottom of the 5th. Union went up 11-2 in the top of the 6th inning. Union scored again in the 7th inning to make things 12-2 but the Lions were able to get some of the runs back. Bass Cooper doubled down the infield line scoring Bryson Lofton. Danny Marquez singled to shortstop advancing Prince to 2nd and scoring Alex Rollins. Bryan rallied in the 8th inning with a 3-run home run from Daniel Dryden bringing Lofton and Ogg to make the score 12-7 but would fall. 

The Lions had a tremendous run in the tournament showing their grit and determination to never stop fighting. Bryan will be heading to the NAIA Opening Rounds and the selection show will take place on May 11th at 5:00 PM.

• Bryson Lofton went 2 for 4 with 2 runs.
• Bradley Prince went 2 for 3 with 1 run.
• Bass Cooper went 2 for 3 with 1 run and 2 RBIs.

• The NAIA Opening Rounds Selection show will be on Thursday May 11th at 5:00 PM.
