Alex McIntosh is entering her first season as Assistant Coach for the Bryan College Women’s Basketball program.

Coach Al is a Dayton, TN native, graduating from Rhea County High School in 2012. She helped lead the Lady Eagles in rebuilding their basketball program. She led the team in 3 point baskets, rebounds, and was a 4-year starter. She also played softball and volleyball, amongst her success in the basketball program.

Coach Al was a 2016 graduate of MTSU, where she also had the opportunity to play in the MTSU Women’s Basketball program on the travel team. She was heavily involved with different organizations at MTSU. Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Intramural Athletics, Sigma Alpha Pi honors society, and a Blue Raider Ambassador were a few of her other involvements. Coach Al graduated with a Business Communications degree, with a focus on Health.

While at MTSU serving 4 years as a Blue Raider Ambassador, Coach Al was a heavy recruiter for the Football and Men’s Basketball programs. She helped with the transition from the Sunbelt Conference to Conference USA—NCAA Division 1-A. She was an asset to getting talented athletes to the University and making them feel at home.

In September 2017, Coach Al moved to Tono, Iwate, Japan, where she served as a Cultural Ambassador for the State of Tennessee. She helped build a sister city relationship and traveled the country making connections to strengthen tourism to TN. While in Japan, she was also presented with the opportunity to play overseas basketball for Tono, Iwate. Coach Al was a leading scorer and rebounder for her team during the 2017 season.

Coach Al is back living in Dayton, TN, alongside her daughter, Savannah. She is looking forward to building relationships at Bryan College and helping the Women’s Basketball program continue its success!
