GAFFNEY, S.C. - Bryan College's men's and women's golf programs competed at the Pioneers Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, battling not only a par-72, 6,964-yard course but some harsh February weather. Sunday's practice round was played with temperatures in the mid-30s, wind chills near 23°F, and north winds gusting up to 18 mph. Monday offered little relief, with highs only reaching the mid-40s and overnight lows dropping to freezing. Despite the conditions, both programs showed fight across 36 holes.
Men's Team
Hendrik Booysen led the team with rounds of 81 and 79 for a 160 total.
Matthew Johnson had the best round of the weekend for any Bryan golfer, carding a 73 (+1) in Round 2 after an 87 in Round 1.
Keegan Taylor finished at 170,
Edward Kehl at 174, and
Josiah Weberg at 173.
