DAYTON, TN. — Alileyon Ford knocked down a clutch three-pointer with one second remaining in overtime to give Columbia a dramatic 81-79 victory over Bryan College on Friday night.
The game featured six ties and nine lead changes before Ford's game-winner capped off a spectacular individual performance. The Columbia guard finished with a game-high 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, while adding nine rebounds and five steals.
Bryan (9-12, 7-7) appeared poised to pull off the home upset after taking a 79-77 lead on a pair of
Haydn Moten free throws with 32 seconds left in overtime. But Columbia (11-12, 8-6) had one final answer.
Jamison McKenzie also delivered a strong performance for the visitors, recording 20 points and four assists while going 10-for-16 from the field. The duo combined for 50 of Columbia's 81 points, helping offset Bryan's balanced scoring attack.

Regale Moore came off the bench to provide a spark with 13 points, including three crucial three-pointers in the second half that helped Bryan erase an 11-point deficit.
The Lions dominated the paint, outscoring Bryan 46-34 in that category, and their bench outproduced Bryan's reserves 59-37. Columbia also capitalized on turnovers, converting Bryan's 13 miscues into 23 points.
Bryan shot an impressive 54.2 percent from the field compared to Columbia's 43.7 percent, but the visitors made up the difference at the free-throw line, converting 9-of-11 attempts (81.8%) while Bryan managed just 6-of-9 (66.7%).
The game was tightly contested throughout, with Columbia holding its largest lead of 13 points in the second half and Bryan's biggest advantage coming at 10 points in the first half.
Ty Gibbs contributed 11 points off the bench for Bryan, hitting a big three-pointer in overtime that briefly gave the Lions hope.
Derek Curtis added eight points and four assists in the losing effort.
Bryan will seek to regroup after the heartbreaking home loss. They will take on Johnson University on the road next week Wednesday.
