Game 2: Life University overwhelmed Bryan College (TN) in a dominant straight-set victory Friday afternoon at Benjamin F. Brady Arena, winning 25-17, 25-7, 25-16.

The third set saw Bryan mount more resistance, staying competitive until the midpoint before Life pulled away for the decisive victory. Life finished with 31 kills compared to Bryan's 20, while also holding a significant advantage in service aces (9-0).
Game 3: After dropping their first two matches of the season in straight sets, Bryan College showed remarkable resilience to capture their first victory of 2025, defeating Brenau University 25-20, 25-23, 25-17 at Benjamin F. Brady Arena on Friday evening.
The Lions demonstrated the mental toughness that had been missing in their earlier defeats, fighting through adversity in each set to secure the sweep.
Leah Lindquist led Bryan's offensive resurgence with 12 kills on a .219 hitting percentage, while
Camryn Daniels added 7 kills without a single error for a .500 hitting percentage.
The match showcased Bryan's improved chemistry and execution. After hitting negative percentages in their previous losses, the Lions posted a .124 team hitting percentage while limiting their attack errors.
Kaci Wade distributed 27 assists and contributed 2 service aces in the victory. The Lady Lions held the Golden Tigers to a .000 hitting percentage.
Bryan's serving game proved decisive, with the Lions recording 6 aces led by
Shelby Kelly's 4. The second set epitomized their newfound resilience, as Bryan rallied from an 11-5 deficit to win 25-23, showcasing the fighting spirit that had been absent in their season-opening losses.
The victory marked a dramatic turnaround for Bryan College, who had been outscored 150-82 in sets during their morning losses to Point University and Life University. The Lions' ability to close out tight sets - something that eluded them earlier in the day - proved to be the difference in securing their breakthrough win. "Today we showed resilience," said Head Coach Jessica Day. "We've been struggling to find our rhythm, with injuries and a handful of new players, it's been tough to be consistent. I'm really proud of how the girls finished up today. Hopefully we can keep building on this and secure more wins in the future."
The Lady Lions are back in action tomorrow morning at 10:00 am for Day 2 of the 2025 Labor Day Bear Invitational at Truett McConnel University. They will be taking on Life University for a round 2 match up. View tournament details
