The Bryan Lions Track & Field teams wrapped up their 2025 outdoor season at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee this past weekend, and they left it all on the track—bringing home multiple top finishes, personal bests, and school records.
Coach Jasper Wilson was proud of the way the team competed:
"We had athletes give it everything they had. From jumps to distance to sprints, there were PRs and top performances across the board. It's a great way to close out our season and sets the tone for what's to come."
Meet Highlights:

Brock Adams had a standout performance in the hurdles and jumps. He placed 3rd in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.10 and 4th in the 400m hurdles at 57.89, while also grabbing 3rd place in the high jump (1.91m).

Cal Drake brought home a conference title in the high jump, clearing 2.00m for the win, and added a 5th-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.51m.

Parker Cabe added a point for the Lions in the javelin, finishing 8th overall with a throw of 41.81m setting a School Record!

Anna Driller scored in the 800m, taking 7th in a tough field with a time of 2:21.88, and also competed in the 1500m and 4x800m relay.

Carissa Wilson impressed in the long-distance events, finishing 6th in the 10,000m (39:45.97) and 4th in the 5,000m (18:19.59),here 5000m sets a school record and her personal best by 1 minute. scoring big points for the women's team.
- Elena Irwin capped off her season by finishing 9th in the 10,000m (42:38.39) and also competing in the 5,000m
- Rachel Tournay contributed to the team score in heptathlon with a personal best score of 1466.
- Mikayla Gale took 6th in the javelin throw.
With multiple school records and PRs this season, Coach Wilson emphasized the foundation being built:
"We've got a young group, but they've bought into the culture and the process. This weekend showed we're heading in the right direction. Proud of how our athletes represented Bryan. Now we are excited for well needed restes and get ready for the fall cross country season."
