Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Bryan Men’s Soccer Falls to Georgia Gwinnett

The Bryan College Men's soccer team took on Georgia Gwinnett on August 31st and came up short, losing 3-0 on the road. Despite their best efforts, the Lions couldn't find a way past a tough Grizzlies defense.

First Half: Grizzlies Take the Lead
Georgia Gwinnett struck first, with Kevin Diaz scoring at the 23:42 mark. Just a few minutes later, they added another goal from Josefa Simoa, who was set up by Alejandro Contrera. The Lions had a few chances but went into halftime trailing 2-0.

Second Half: Bryan Fights On
Bryan came out in the second half determined to close the gap. Zeke Lawyer had a solid chance with a header off a corner kick, but Georgia Gwinnett's goalkeeper made the save. The Grizzlies scored again late in the match, sealing the 3-0 victory.

Tough Moments and Yellow Cards
The match got a bit heated, with four Bryan players receiving yellow cards. Ivan Kalynovskyi, Cesar Castro, James Mitchell, and Joshua Hernandez were all booked, which made it tough for the Lions to keep up their momentum.

What's Next?
With this loss, Bryan drops to 0-3-0 for the season. The team will be looking to bounce back in their next match, next Saturday, Sept. 7 for Senior Day for UPike.
