DAYTON, TN | On Thursday, the Bryan College Athletic Department announced the official 2023 Spring Athletic Honor Roll, which takes into consideration all varsity and junior varsity student-athletes. In order for a student-athlete to make the list, he/she needs to have recorded a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher for the spring term.

In total 232 of 378 made the cut, led by the Baseball team's 33 total players with a 3.3 GPA or higher. 

Following were Volleyball with 29, Men's Soccer with 23, Women's Soccer with 23, Men's Basketball with 22, Softball with 19, Martial Arts with 12, Fishing with 11, Men's Cross Country/Track & Field with 10, Women's Cross Country/Track & Field and Men's Golf with 8, Cheerleading with 6, Women's Golf with 5, and the Shooting team with 3.

The team producing the highest GPA was the Women's Golf team with a notable 3.763 with 3 of their 4 members hitting the mark. Following close behind was the Women's Track and Field with a GPA of 3.70 with 6 of their 8 members making the grade. Third in line was the Volleyball team with a GPA of 3.64, with 26 of their 27 members achieving a 3.3 or higher. Women's Soccer was 4th in line with a GPA of 3.52 with 22 of their 30 members achieving the honor. The Fishing team rounded out the top 5 with a team GPA of 3.32, with 9 of 20 student-athletes making the grade. 

As a department, the Lions earned a GPA of 3.24 with 61.38% of the department above a 3.3 GPA. In total, 40 student-athletes attained a perfect 4.0 during the semester, while 192 student-athletes attained a 3.3 or above during the semester.
