Cleveland, GA - The Bryan College baseball team traveled to Cleveland, GA to take on TMU in a 3 game series. For game 1 of the series Bryan was the first to get on the board in the top of the 2nd inning with a single from
Bradley Prince that scored
Kade Cohoon.
Danny Marquez singled bringing in
Bradley Prince to give the Lions a 2-0 lead going into the bottom half of the inning.
In the top of the 3rd inning
Daniel Dryden hit a solo home run to put the Lions up 3-0. TMU would respond in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead down to 1. In the top of the 6th inning
Parker Cosby singled to left field advancing Marquez to 2nd and scoring
Devin Ogg.
Bryson Lofton singled to right field advancing Cosby to 3rd and scoring Marquez.
Daniel Dryden singled to left field advancing Lofton to 2nd and scoring Cosby to put the Lions back up 6-2.
TMU scored in the bottom half of the 6th inning to cut the lead back down to 1. In the bottom of the 7th inning TMU scored again to go ahead of the Lions 7-6. In the top of the 8th
Daniel Dryden hit a grand slam bringing in Lofton, Cosby, and Marquez to give the Lions a 10-7 lead. TMU attempted to rally back but came up short. The Lions take game 1 by a score of 10-8.
