Dayton, TN - The Bryan College Baseball team took on Cumberland University on Tuesday afternoon. Cumberland was on the board first to start the game with a 2-run homerun. The Phoenix struck again in the third, fourth, and seventh inning to push their lead to 7-0. Bryan was able to score in the seventh inning with a homerun by
Bryson Lofton.
Dante Morton doubled in the 8th inning scoring
Devin Ogg to cut the lead to 7-2. Cumberland responded to the Lions with a 2-run homerun to extend their lead again to 9-2. Bryan fought back in the 9th inning with a 2-run homerun to cut the lead to 5 but still trailed 9-4. Bryan was unable to come back and fall at home.
