Dayton, TN -  The Bryan College Softball team took on Cumberland University in a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM. For game 1, Cumberland was the first to get on the board in the top of the first inning. In the second inning the Lions tied things up at 1. Denver Hogrefe reached first on an error scoring Carli LaRocque. The Lady Lions struck again in the bottom of the third inning. Carli LaRocque reached first on an error advancing Lily Taylor to second, Breanna Bumgardner to third, and scoring Haley Stahl with the go ahead run. The Lions defense stood strong against the Phoenix and took game one with a score of 2-1. 

For game 2, Cumberland scored first in the top of the fifth inning going ahead 3-0. Bryan scored in the sixth inning with a single from Ariel Holt advancing Kyra Kaboos to second and scored Lily Taylor to cut the lead down to 2. In the top of the seventh inning Cumberland scored to extend their lead back to 3. The Phoenix take game 2 with a score of 4-1.

• Denver Hogrefe pitched seven innings only allowing 1 run

• Ariel Holt went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI. 
• Katie Dinger went 3 for 3.

• Bryan will be back in action to take on KCU on March 25th starting at 3:00 and 5:00 PM.
