Henderson, TN - The Bryan College Baseball team traveled to Henderson, TN to take on Freed-Hardeman in the first game of the season. Bryan was up to bat first, Parker Cosby reached first with a hit-by-pitch but the Lions were unable to keep things rolling. Freed-Hardeman jumped on top quick in the bottom of the first inning with 2 runs off 3 hits. Bryan comes up to bat in the top of the second but quickly go three and out. Freed-Hardeman lit up the bottom half of the inning by scoring 4 runs off of 5 hits. They take a commanding lead over Bryan leading 6-0. Bryan was able to get a hit in the top of the third inning but they weren't able respond. Freed-Hardeman took over in the bottom half of the inning and once again extended their lead with another 3 runs off of 3 hits. They lead Bryan going into the top of the fourth 9-0. Bryan quickly goes three and out in the top of the fourth but they are able to get a stop against Freed-Hardeman in the bottom half of the inning. Keeko Garcia was the first to get the Lions on the board with a solo homerun in the top of the fifth inning. Jacob Buffington took care of Freed-Hardeman for 4.0 innings before Trevor Feguson came in to takeover for the Lions. The Lions would rally back in the eighth inning with 4 runs and then 1 more run in the top of the 9th but it was not enough to propel them over Freed-Hardeman. Freed-Hardeman takes game one 9-6.Â

- The Lions will be back in action on Saturday February 4th for a doubleheader against Freed-Hardeman starting at 1:00 PM.Â
