Martial Arts Academy Competes at 2021 IIKA Nationals; Named Dojo of the Year

MANCHESTER, TN - The Bryan College Martial Arts Academy traveled to Manchester, TN for the 10th Annual International Isshinryu Karate Association (IIKA) Nationals. The academy battled against a competitive field and came away with 23 awards in total, including Dojo of the Year.

"I am honored that Bryan College was chosen by the International Isshinryu Karate Association as Karate Dojo of the Year," said BCMAA Sensei David Holcomb. "We are blessed to be a part of the history of Isshinryu karate in the United States. What has meant most is hearing from instructors all over the southeast that have complimented our students on their attitudes and behavior in the midst of extreme competition. As great as the awards are, their behavior during the competition is what matters most to me."
