The freshmen were scheduled to be on campus today for the start of the school year. That made tonight's scrimmage the first athletic event at Bryan College that they have been a part of as students. The Lions came out ready to play and quickly put on a show for the new students. The first goal came 15 seconds into the match as
Joe Kane played a ball to
Adam Loga who put it into the back of the net. After that the quick goal play began to settle in for both teams. The Lions' next goal came later in the first half from
Nate McCown off of a cross from
Daniel (Kiwi) O'Kane. The first half ended with the score 2-0. The second half began much like the first as
Giovani Andrades played a ball through to
Raphael Correa who finished it just a couple of minutes into the second half. About 20 minutes later the same Brazilian connection took place as Andrades received his second assist on Correa's second goal. The Lions' defense played well and held their shutout as the game ended with the score 4-0.
