Jessica Day enters her tenth season as Head Coach for the Bryan College Volleyball program and thirteenth season serving the Lady Lions, handling the previous three seasons as an assistant coach. In addition to overseeing the Women’s Volleyball Program, Coach Day will also serve as Senior Woman Leader, handling student-athlete eligibility and Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information and Development.

Over the last nine seasons, Coach Day compiled a record of 155-123 and 115-64 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. She has coached 83 AAC All-Academic Team members, 17 All-AAC selections, and six AAC All-Freshman Team honorees. Coach Day has also coached 33 NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athletes, along with 9 AVCA All-American and All-Region team members, and 6 USMC AVCA  Academic Teams. Under her leadership, Coach day led 2 teams to AAC Regular Season Conference titles (2020, 2021), an AAC Conference Tournament Title in 2021, and 4 NAIA Opening Round appearances (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). Coach Day was named AAC Coach of the Year as well as AVCA All-Region Coach of the Year in the 2020-21 season.

Coach Day, formerly Jessica Kaya, was a 4-year stand out for the Lady Lions from 2008-2011. During her playing days, Day garnered numerous athletic and academic awards, including 2008 AAC All-Freshman Team, 2009 Bryan College Defensive Player of the Year, 2010 NAIA All-Scholar Team, and 2011 Academic All-Conference. Following her graduation in 2012, Coach Day spent one year as an Assistant Coach at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. She has also coached Junior Olympic volleyball for various area clubs since her senior year of college. 

Jessica currently resides in Dayton, with her husband, Jordan, who is the head coach for the Bryan College Baseball program, and children Kayleigh (9) and Kyrie (7). She and Jordan are members at New Union Baptist Church in Dayton.
