DAYTON, Tenn. — The Bryan College Lions baseball program is headed to the postseason, earning a berth in the 2026 NAIA Baseball Opening Round as the No. 4 seed in the Williamsburg Bracket, hosted by the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The bracket features five programs hungry for a spot in the NAIA Baseball Championship, with Bryan squaring up against a field that includes some of the most competitive programs in the NAIA.
The Bracket at a Glance
Topping the Williamsburg Bracket is the host University of the Cumberlands, who earned the No. 1 seed and will look to make a deep run in front of their home crowd — a distinct advantage that Lions players and coaches will have to account for from the opening pitch. Missouri Baptist checks in as the No. 2 seed, while William Carey enters as the No. 3 seed. Bryan College holds the fourth spot, with Central Baptist rounding out the field as the No. 5 seed.
In NAIA Opening Round play, the bracket follows a double-elimination format, meaning every team has a safety net — but only one. For the Lions, that means there is little margin for error against programs that have earned their seedings through strong regular-season résumés.
The Lions' Road to the Postseason
Earning a postseason bid is no small feat in the NAIA, where competition across conferences is fierce and at-large selections are hard-won. Bryan College's inclusion in the field is a testament to a program that has worked to build its reputation as a legitimate postseason contender. For the Lions, the Williamsburg bracket represents an opportunity to prove they belong among the nation's elite small-college programs.
As the No. 4 seed, Bryan will face an uphill climb — but not an impossible one. The double-elimination structure rewards consistency and resilience, and a hot pitching staff or timely hitting can carry any team past a higher seed on any given day.
