Bryan College Women’s Basketball Coach Matt Bollant Steps Down After Two Seasons

DAYTON, TN — Bryan College Women's Basketball head coach Matt Bollant announced he is stepping down after two successful seasons leading the Lady Lions. Bollant compiled a 35-19 record during his tenure and helped strengthen the program's competitive presence in the region.

Bollant will be leaving Bryan College to take the head coaching position at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. His time at Bryan saw consistent improvement on the court and the development of players both athletically and academically.

"My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bryan College," said Bollant. "We felt the calling to go to another Christian university and wanted to be obedient to what the Lord has for us next.," he continued. "Thank you to everyone who poured into our family at Bryan College and loved us well."

Under Bollant's leadership, Bryan College achieved notable wins and postseason appearances, helping to raise the profile of the Lady Lions within the collegiate basketball community.

Bryan College Vice Pesident of Athletics, Jeremy Deal, expressed appreciation for Bollant's contributions: "We wish Matt all the best at Southwest Baptist and thank him for his impact on our student-athletes and the entire Bryan College community."

Regan Bollant has been named Interim Head Coach, as the national search begins for the next leader of the Lady Lions Basketball program.
