WINSTON SALEM, N.C. -
The Bryan Lions delivered a strong showing at the Camel City Sprints and Camel City Distance meets over the weekend, stacking personal bests, heat wins, and national-level performances across sprints, distance events, and field competition as the season gains momentum.
Sprints Shine
Anthony Graybill stole the spotlight in the men's 60m, winning his heat with a massive personal best of 7.15.
Zayne James wasn't far behind, posting a personal best of 7.42.
The men's 200m produced more fireworks as James clocked a personal best of 24.47, while Graybill doubled back to win his heat in a personal-best 22.56. Mathew Pfister also impressed in the 400m with an indoor personal best of 50.77.
On the women's side,
Galilee Raymer continued her steady improvement with a personal best in the 200m.
Dewhurst Raises the Bar
Aaron Dewhurst extended his record-breaking season in the pole vault, clearing a season-best 4.05m to improve his school record once again.
Distance Runners Deliver
Emily Cathey dropped seven seconds in the women's 1000m, running 3:07.77 to rank 67th nationally in the NAIA. She capped her day by lowering her school record in the mile to 5:20.92.
Carissa Wilson also turned heads in the women's 3000m, slashing 36 seconds off her personal best to place 67th in the NAIA.
