Lake Wales, FL – The Bryan College Lady Lions demonstrated resilience and offensive capability in a competitive doubleheader against Warner University on Saturday, despite dropping both contests by narrow margins of 5-4 and 5-1.

Baldwin was a catalyst at the top of the order, reaching base twice and scoring two runs, while also showcasing her speed on the basepaths with a stolen base.
Game Two:Â
In the nightcap, the Lady Lions found themselves trailing early but continued to battle. The highlight came in the second inning when Saul launched a solo home run to center field, cutting Warner's lead to 2-1 and demonstrating the power potential in Bryan's lineup.
The Lady Lions matched Warner with seven hits in the contest, showing they could generate offensive opportunities against quality pitching. Lee continued her hot hitting with a 2-for-3 performance, while Landen Lockhart contributed two hits and played solid defense at shortstop.
Despite the losses, the Bryan College Lady Lions displayed several encouraging signs in both games. The team combined for 16 hits across the doubleheader, demonstrating the ability to make consistent contact and put pressure on opposing defenses. The Lady Lions also showed they won't back down from challenges, battling back multiple times and never giving up.
Individual performances from players like Lee, who went 4-for-7 on the day, Saul with her power display and four total RBIs in the doubleheader, and Schaffer's two-RBI double in game one provide a foundation to build upon.
As the season progresses, the offensive production and competitive spirit shown in Florida will serve the Lady Lions well. The tight 5-4 loss in game one demonstrates Bryan is capable of competing with quality opponents, and with continued development, the results will follow.
The Lady Lions will look to carry the positive momentum from their offensive performances into their next contest as they continue their season. They will host their Home Opener of the 2026 season on Friday as they take on the Firehawks of UT Southern in a double header. Fitst pitch set to take place at 2:00 pm.
