AAC Indoor Championships Recap

WINSTON SALEM, NC - The Bryan Lions delivered a record-setting and point-scoring performance at the AAC Indoor Championships, highlighted by All-Conference honors, school records, and multiple all-time marks rewritten in the program history books.

On the men's side, Anthony Graybill continued his outstanding season by lowering his personal best to 7.12 in the 60m and matching his lifetime best of 22.56 in the 200m. He now ranks 2nd all-time at Bryan in both the 60m and the 200m.

In the 400m, Mathew Pfister put the Lions on the board with a 7th-place finish, lowering his personal best to 50.56. Pfister now moves to 3rd all-time in program history in both the 400m and the 200m.

Jayden Bowman ran a 4-second personal best of 2:36.61 in the 1000m, earning a place in the top 5 all-time at Bryan in the event.

In the pole vault, Aaron Dewhurst secured a 3rd-place finish, earning All-Conference honors and making history as the first pole vaulter in Bryan program history to earn an All-Conference performance.

On the women's side, Emily Cathey and Carissa Wilson led a strong scoring effort across the distance events.

Cathey placed 6th in the 1000m, running 3:04.86 to break another school record. She added a 7th-place finish in the 800m with an indoor personal best and an 8th-place finish in the mile, scoring in three individual events. Cathey now ranks 1st all-time at Bryan in the indoor 1000m and Mile, and 3rd all-time in the indoor 800m.

Wilson delivered key points with an 8th-place finish in the 3000m and a 7th-place finish in the 5000m, where she ran 18:34.05 to break her own school record. She now sits 1st all-time in Bryan history in both the indoor 5000m and 3000m.

The women's Distance Medley Relay team—Wilson (1200m), Driller (400m), Schroeder (800m), and Cathey (1600m anchor)—finished 5th overall while breaking the school record in 13:29.49, adding valuable team points in the process.

Additional highlights included lifetime bests from Galilee Raymer in the 200m and a season best from Kennedy Groves.

Overall, the Lions showcased growth, depth, and historic performances on the conference stage, rewriting the program record books while scoring key points throughout the championship meet. The team now looks forward to the outdoor track season, which will begin on March 20th.
