Bryan College Women's Basketball Dominates CIU 102-58 in Road Victory

Columbia, S.C. – The Bryan College Lions put on an offensive clinic Saturday afternoon, cruising to a commanding 102-58 victory over Columbia International University. The win improves Bryan to 20-5 overall and 17-2 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.

Bryan's balanced attack and suffocating defense proved too much for the Rams (6-18, 4-15 AAC), as the Lions shot an impressive 54.1% from the field while forcing 37 turnovers that they converted into 47 points.

The Lions jumped out to a 30-16 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, extending their advantage to 63-29 by halftime. Bryan's bench provided a massive spark, outscoring CIU's reserves 64-17 while demonstrating the team's impressive depth.

Five Bryan players reached double figures in scoring. Molly Brown led the way off the bench with 14 points on efficient 5-of-7 shooting, including three three-pointers. Sophie McIntruff added 12 points, while Sydney Neale contributed 11 points with three triples of her own.

Leah Stinnett and Alyssa Petty each chipped in 10 points, with Stinnett dishing out three assists and recording four steals. Brooklyn Stinnett added nine points, while Ashlyn Plott scored eight in the victory.

The Lions dominated in transition, outscoring the Rams 28-2 in fast break points, and controlled the paint with a 42-16 advantage. Bryan's defensive pressure was relentless, forcing turnovers throughout the game while recording 24 steals as a team.

Ellie Graham orchestrated the offense beautifully with six assists, while the team combined for 27 assists on 40 made field goals, showcasing excellent ball movement and unselfish play.

Bryan College will look to continue their strong conference play as they push toward the postseason. The Lions' depth and balanced scoring make them a formidable opponent in the AAC. They will host Montreat College in their last regular season game on Wednesday.
