"I'm proud of how we played, especially forcing a lot of turnovers while taking care of the ball ourselves," noted Coach Bollant. "Being +20 in the turnover margin is a great number, and I thought we did a really good job sharing the ball as well," he added.
After the dominant 20-2 opening quarter, Bryan continued to pour it on, outscoring Brenau 19-12 in the second period to take a 39-14 halftime advantage. The Lady Lions' largest lead reached 44 points in the fourth quarter as the bench players saw extended minutes.
Bryan shot 41.1% from the field for the game, including 22.2% from beyond the arc, and converted 76.2% from the free-throw line. The Lady Lions also dominated the boards, grabbing 11 offensive rebounds that led to seven second-chance points.
The comprehensive victory showcased Bryan's potential as a complete team, with contributions from up and down the roster. The Lady Lions' ability to force turnovers, control the paint, and share the basketball bodes well as the season continues. They will host Columbia College on Friday at 4:00 pm.
