PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pikeville women's soccer team delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Bryan College on Saturday afternoon in Pikeville, KY.
Pikeville wasted little time establishing control, with Jayla Boyd opening the scoring just 1:31 into the match off an assist from Charlene Lofqvist. The Bears never looked back, adding two more goals in the first half through Lofqvist (20:41) and Kylie Ritter (37:58) to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
Boyd struck again early in the second half at the 54:06 mark, assisted by Sara Ritter, before Julia Pinson capped the scoring with a late goal at 88:26, assisted by Megan Stringer.
The Bears dominated possession and shots, outshooting Bryan 21-3 for the match. Pikeville also held a significant advantage in corner kicks, 7-2. Allyson Gonzalez earned the victory in goal for Pikeville, making two saves in 71 minutes of action before being relieved by Nevaeh Brown.

Ava Hooks faced heavy pressure throughout, making four saves while allowing five goals. The Lady Lions managed just two shots on goal and struggled to generate offensive opportunities against Pikeville's organized defense. Boyd led Pikeville's attack with two goals, while Lofqvist and Ritter each contributed a goal and an assist.
The Lady Lions look to regroup and jump back into action at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, as they gear up for another AAC match up with the Brenau Golden Tigers on their home field.
