DAYTON, Tenn. – Bryan College has announced the hiring of Collin Ledbetter as assistant baseball coach, adding a accomplished former professional pitcher with extensive playing and instructional experience to the Lions coaching staff.
Ledbetter brings a wealth of professional baseball experience to Bryan, having most recently completed three seasons with the renowned Savannah Bananas organization. His professional credentials also include two standout seasons in the United Shore Professional Baseball League (2021-2022), where his exceptional performance in 2022 earned him league-wide recognition as Pitcher of the Year after leading multiple statistical categories.
"We are excited to have Collin join our staff at Bryan," said Head Baseball Coach,
Jordan Day. "He brings experience across many levels of college and professional baseball. His spiritual maturity and commitment to discipleship make him a great fit here at Bryan! I'm excited to see him excel in our program.."
The Arizona native's educational credentials are equally impressive, holding a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Campbellsville University, where he also competed as a graduate transfer in 2020. He previously earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2019 and an Associate's Degree in Communications from Glendale Community College in 2017.
Coach Ledbetter's baseball journey began at Northwest Christian High School in Peoria, Arizona, where he helped lead the Crusaders to a state championship in 2015. His success as a two-way player throughout high school and college has provided him with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the game.
While this marks Ledbetter's first collegiate coaching position, he is no stranger to instruction. Throughout his playing career, he dedicated his off-seasons to developing young talent through individual lessons and group instruction at Pro X Athlete Development in Indiana.
Coach Ledbetter will specialize in pitching instruction while contributing to all aspects of the Lions baseball program as the team prepares for the upcoming season. The Lions look forward to the impact Coach Ledbetter will have on the program's continued growth and success.
