Morton, Almon, and Ramsey Earn All-AAC Honors; Hall Named Champion of Character as 18 Lions Collect Academic Accolades

DAYTON, Tenn. — The Bryan College baseball team continues to gain respect across the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) after a standout regular season, and the postseason awards reflect it.

Dante Morton headlined the Lions' honorees, earning First Team All-AAC honors after an electric season at shortstop. Morton led the AAC in conference games played (30) and ranked second in hits (48), third in runs (39), fifth in RBIs (37), and fourth in home runs (11) during AAC action. His full-season numbers were just as eye-popping — finishing top five in the league in runs scored (62), hits (67), home runs (18), RBIs (50), total bases (134), and walks (39). Morton hit .399 overall with a .510 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .798, one of the most complete offensive seasons in the conference.

On the All-AAC Second Team, senior right-hander Jacob Almon earned recognition for his work on the mound. Almon posted an 8-3 record with a 3.24 ERA over 91.2 innings pitched, striking out 99 batters while walking just 28. He ranked among the conference's leaders in both workload and efficiency, finishing with a strong 9.72 strikeouts per nine innings and a 1.15 WHIP across 20 appearances.

Joining Almon on the Second Team was junior outfielder Caleb Ramsey, who turned in a well-rounded campaign on both sides of the ball. Ramsey batted .353 overall (.386 in conference play) with 59 hits, 12 doubles, and 9 home runs. He also swiped 11 bases and ranked top 15 in the AAC in slugging (.587), total bases (98), and batting average. Ramsey was all named to the AAC Gold Glove team as the selected Center Fielder.

The Lions also had a representative for the AAC's Champion of Character award, with Chris Hall being selected for his integrity, leadership, and impact both on and off the field.

In the classroom, 18 Lions earned spots on the All-AAC Academic Team, showcasing Bryan's commitment to excellence beyond the diamond. Honorees include:
