KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Bryan College women's basketball team saw their postseason run come to an end in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament quarterfinals, falling to Reinhardt 64-52 on Thursday evening.
Slow Shooting Night Hurts Lions
Despite a strong start in the first quarter, where the Lions led 19-18, they struggled to find consistency on offense for the remainder of the game. Bryan shot just 28.1% from the field and 23.5% from beyond the arc, making it difficult to keep pace with Reinhardt's efficient shooting performance (48.1% FG).
Key Performances
- Torie Brooks led Bryan with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
- Ayanna Kinnard provided a spark off the bench, finishing with a team-high 13 points.
- Sydney Neale and Autumn Davis each knocked down crucial three-pointers to keep Bryan in the game.
- The Lions won the battle on the offensive boards (17-9) but couldn't convert second-chance opportunities into enough points.
Season Comes to a Close
With the loss, Bryan wraps up their season with a 15-13 overall record (13-9 AAC). The Lions showed growth throughout the season, earning big wins against top conference opponents and securing a sixth-place finish in the AAC standings.
