Bryan Women’s Basketball Ready for AAC Tournament Run

The Bryan College women's basketball team is gearing up for the AAC Tournament, set to begin this week in Kingsport, Tennessee. The No. 6 seed Lions will face No. 3 Reinhardt in the quarterfinals on Thursday, February 27, at 5:15 PM.

Season Recap

The Lions wrapped up the regular season with a 14-11 overall record and a 12-9 mark in conference play. Bryan has been tough to beat at home, finishing with a 9-2 record in Summers Gymnasium, and now they look to bring that same energy to the postseason.

  • Defense: Bryan has held opponents to 64.7 points per game, making defense a key part of their success.
  • Steals: Bryan finished 3rd in the AAC this season averaging 10.7 steals per game. 

Path to the Championship

To secure an AAC Championship and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament, Bryan will need to string together three wins in three days.
1?? Quarterfinals: No. 6 Bryan vs. No. 3 Reinhardt – Thursday, 5:15 PM
2?? Semifinals: If Bryan wins, they will face the winner of No. 2 Johnson vs. No. 7 Tennessee Wesleyan/No. 10 Union CommonwealthFriday, 4:00 PM
3?? Championship: A win in the semifinals would send the Lions to the AAC Championship Game on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

What's at Stake?

The AAC Tournament Champion will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. If Milligan (No. 1 seed) wins the tournament, Johnson (No. 2 seed) will receive the second automatic bid.

All games will be live-streamed for free on the AAC Digital Network, and tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students.
