Bryan Men’s Basketball Set for AAC Tournament

The Bryan College men's basketball team is ready to make a run in the AAC Tournament, tipping off this week in Kingsport, Tennessee. The No. 5 seed Lions (15-10, 13-7 AAC) will begin their postseason journey against No. 4 seed Johnson (18-9, 14-6 AAC) on Thursday, February 27, at 1:45 PM.

Season Recap

Bryan wrapped up the regular season with a 15-10 overall record, finishing fifth in the AAC standings. The Lions have been strong offensively, averaging 75.1 points per game, while their defense has held opponents to 68.7 points per contest. Three-point shooting and rebounding have been key strengths, helping Bryan secure multiple close wins throughout the season.

  • Scoring Leader: Dalen Gales – Averaging 20.1 PPG, leads the AAC in scoring.
  • All Around Presence: Josh Baugher – Leads the team with 9.0 RPG (4th in the AAC), and also leads the AAC with 5.9 Assists per game.

Path to the Championship

Bryan will need to win three straight games to claim the AAC Tournament Championship and an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

Quarterfinals: No. 5 Bryan vs. No. 4 Johnson – Thursday, 1:45 PM
Semifinals: If Bryan wins, they will face the winner of No. 1 Pikeville vs. No. 8 Reinhardt/No. 9 Truett McConnellFriday, 6:00 PM
Championship: A win in the semifinals would send Bryan to the AAC Championship Game on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

More Information

Pikeville has already secured an NAIA Tournament bid as the regular-season champion, meaning the AAC Tournament Champion will earn the second automatic bid.

All games will be live-streamed for free on the AAC Digital Network, and tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students.
