Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bryan College Falls to Life University 68-55 at Ken Woods Memorial Classic

MARIETTA, GA – The Bryan Lions men's basketball team struggled to find their rhythm Saturday afternoon, falling 68-55 to Life University at the Eagles' Nest in their third game of the season.

The Lions (0-3) entered halftime with a narrow 34-33 lead, but a cold-shooting second half doomed their chances as Life (3-0) pulled away with a 35-21 advantage after the break.

Bryan's offensive woes were evident throughout the game, but particularly in the final 20 minutes. The Lions shot just 21.9% from the field in the second half and a dismal 16.7% from beyond the arc. For the game, Bryan connected on only 30.2% of their field goal attempts and 26.5% from three-point range.

Jerry Taylor Jr. paced the Lions with 10 points off the bench, adding six rebounds in 27 minutes of action. Izaiha Bredwood provided a spark with 11 points on efficient 3-of-7 shooting, including three three-pointers.

Trey Morrow contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in 32 minutes, while Kole Torres added eight points but struggled with his shot, finishing 3-of-15 from the field in 34 minutes of action.

The game was closely contested in several categories, with both teams committing 11 turnovers. However, Life capitalized on their opportunities, outscoring Bryan 24-16 in points in the paint and 11-8 in second-chance points. Bryan held advantages in points off turnovers (13-5) and free-throw shooting (88.9% to 50.0%)..

The Lions will look to break into the win column in their next outing as they continue their early-season schedule.
