Lions Battle Elements to Finish Ninth at AAC Fall Showcase

ADAIRSVILLE, GA- The Bryan College men's golf team secured a ninth-place finish out of 14 teams at the AAC Fall Showcase held at Barnsley Resort, battling adverse weather conditions throughout the tournament.

Six Lions competed in a field of 87 golfers from across the conference, testing their skills on Barnsley's challenging layout while contending with difficult weather that impacted play throughout both rounds.

Freshman Hendrik Booysen led the way for the Bryan College squad, demonstrating consistency across both days of competition. Booysen posted rounds of 78 and 77 to finish 21st individually, pacing the Lions through the demanding conditions. His steady performance provided a solid foundation for the team's overall result.

The Lions recorded team scores of 322 in the opening round and improved to 318 in the second round. Beyond Booysen's contributions, Edward Kehl delivered a strong performance with a 159 total, while Jaden Larsen added a 162 and Josiah Weberg contributed a 164 to round out the Lions' scoring lineup.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Bryan College's ninth-place finish demonstrated the team's resilience and ability to compete against quality conference opponents. The experience gained at Barnsley Resort will prove valuable as the Lions continue their season.
