Bryan College Fishing Team Shows Strong Performance at 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship

Florence, AL The Bryan College fishing team delivered a commendable performance at the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops, held at Pickwick Lake on May 23-24. Bryan College held their own in a strong field of anglers.

Hunter Palmer and Eli Stevenson led the charge for Bryan College, finishing in 26th place. The duo managed to reel in a total weight of 33.56 pounds over the two-day event, demonstrating their consistent ability to land quality fish despite tough competition.

Another pair from Bryan, Conner Giles and Logan East, also made their mark. They finished with a total weight of 3.69 pounds. Will Travis and Caleb Griffin participated but unfortunately did not weigh in any fish during the event. 

The tournament saw University of North Alabama's team, Carter Nutt and Dylan Nutt, take the top spot with an impressive total weight of 52.36 pounds. They were followed by teams from the University of South Carolina and another team from the University of North Alabama rounding out the top three.

The Bryan College fishing team will continue to prepare for their upcoming tournament in Saginaw Bay, MI June 6-7 for the Strike King Bassmasters College Series.
