Kingsport, TN - In a highly anticipated Appalachian Athletic Conference playoff game, the Bryan College Lions faced off against the top-seeded Reinhardt University in Kingsport, TN. Despite a strong start, the Lions fell short, losing 5-3 to a resilient Reinhardt team.

Game Summary:

Bryan showed promise early in the game, holding Reinhardt scoreless through the first two innings while accumulating hits. The momentum picked up for Bryan in the third inning when errors by Reinhardt allowed Denver Hogrefe and Breanna Bumgardner to score, pushing the Lions ahead 2-0.

Reinhardt responded with a run in the bottom of the third but Bryan extended their lead in the fourth inning to 3-1 thanks to another Reinhardt error that allowed Cali Green to score. However, the pivotal moment came in the fifth inning when Reinhardt capitalized on a series of hits, including a home run by E. Loveless, to score four runs and take a definitive 5-3 lead.
