Bryan takes down #8 Reinhardt in 2-1 series win.

DAYTON, TN - The Bryan College Lions secure the 2 to 1 series win over #8 Reinhardt University Eagles. Runs were plenty with 59 total runs being scored in the three game series. With the series win Bryan moves to 22-17 overall and 13-10 in conference, putting them at 6th place currently in the AAC standings

Game 2: In game 2 of the series, Reinhardt University came out swinging, establishing an early lead in the first inning and maintaining strong offensive pressure throughout the game, resulting in a 13-7 victory over Bryan College.

Reinhardt set the tone early, scoring three runs in the top of the first through singles by Reinhardt, coupled with a series of wild pitches and sacrifice flies. T. Zdunich added to the tally with a solo home run in the second inning, putting Reinhardt up 4-0. N. Crowell and L. Mendoza continued the trend with home runs in the third and fifth innings, boosting the score to 7-3.
Bryan College found momentum in the bottom of the third inning when B. Lofton hit a three-run homer, bringing the score to a more competitive 5-3. Lofton was a standout for Bryan, batting .600 with 3 hits and 5 RBIs, including another solo homer in the sixth that briefly narrowed the gap to 8-4.

However, Reinhardt pulled away in the eighth with a barrage of hits, including a homer by M. Maurer and another by L. Dockery, contributing to a five-run inning that extended their lead to 13-7.
Bryan tried to rally in the bottom of the ninth with hits from Daniel Dryden and Alex Rollins, who had a notable performance with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, including a two-run homer in the seventh. Despite their efforts, Bryan could not overcome the deficit, ultimately leaving nine runners on base throughout the game.

Tyler Cullen of Bryan also contributed with 1 hit and 2 runs scored from his four at-bats, and Dante Morton walked three times, showing patience at the plate, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide against Reinhardt's relentless offense.


Game 3: 
In the clinching Game 3 of the series, Bryan College secured a decisive victory over Reinhardt University, showcasing a powerful offensive performance complemented by a strong outing from pitcher Tanner Everett. The game ended with Bryan on top, 11-8, capturing the series 2-1 win.


Key Performances:

Tyler Cullen was instrumental for Bryan, hitting two home runs, including a crucial 3-RBI homer that solidified their lead. He brought in a total of 7 RBIs, going 2-for-3 at the plate, and scoring three runs.
Dante Morton also made significant contributions with a timely 3-RBI home run and added another hit, totaling 3 RBIs.
Bryson Lofton and Bradley Prince provided stability and opportunities, reaching base multiple times, which was crucial for setting up scoring plays.

Pitching Highlights:
Tanner Everett was key in closing out the game for Bryan, pitching the final inning where he allowed no runs and struck out two batters, ensuring no comeback from Reinhardt. His performance was crucial in sealing the win and earning his first save of the season.
The pitching staff as a whole navigated through some challenging innings but managed to keep the game within reach, with Chris Bayne earning the win after a scoreless inning in relief.

Game Recap:
The game began with Reinhardt taking an early lead in the first inning due to a couple of wild pitches and an error that allowed them to score two unearned runs.
Bryan responded over the next few innings, initially struggling but breaking through in the third inning with Morton's three-run homer followed by a massive four-run fourth inning highlighted by Cullen's grand slam.

Reinhardt attempted to rally in the sixth and seventh innings, bringing the game closer, but Bryan's early lead and strong defensive plays kept them at bay.
In crucial late-game pitching, Tanner Everett took the mound in the seventh inning, effectively shutting down Reinhardt's offense with key strikeouts and composed pitching, ensuring Bryan held onto their lead and secured the win.

This victory not only highlighted Bryan's resilience and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities but also showcased their strategic execution in both offense and defense, culminating in a series-clinching win that was anchored by standout performances from Tyler Cullen and Tanner Everett
