KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the teams and bracket for the 2024 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship First Round presented by Ballogy. The 64-team bracket will begin with the first and second rounds at host sites nationwide on March 15-16. The 2024 NAIA second round winners will meet in Sioux City, Iowa at the NAIA National Championship final site presented by Bomgaars and Sterling. The 43rd annual championship occurs at the Tyson Events Center from March 21-22 .

The Bryan College Women's Basketball Team is headed to Williamsburg, KY for the first round of the NAIA National Tournament to face off against the University of Mobile Rams.

The Lady Lions 24-6 overall record earned them a 6 seed in the Williamsburg, KY region. Read our previous article for a season recap. They will be playing a Mobile team that finished 26-6 on the year.  Mobile has gone 9-2 since January 24th, with both losses coming to #17 Loyola University (La.) The Rams made it to their SSAC conference championship game where they fell to Loyola University (La.) 71-63.

Mobile By the Numbers:

• 72.4 Points per game
• Shooting 41% from the field as a team 
• 28.3% from three point range
• The Rams are only giving up 60.8 Points per game on the defensive end.
• Holding opponents to 26.5% from three.

Potential Round of 32 Opponents:
The two other teams playing at the Williamsburg, KY site, are the #3 seeded and host University of the Cumberlands (22-9) & the #14 Siena Heights University Saints (27-4). 
The Lady Lions have played the #3 University of Cumberlands twice this season, splitting with the Patriots 1-1. The Lions won the first game on December 12th in Dayton, TN 81-71. The Cumberlands took game two in Williamsburg 73-69.
