COLUMBIA, SC - The Bryan College Women's Basketball team traveled to South Carolina to match up against Columbia College Thursday afternoon. The Lady Lions took down the Koalas 81-65 off a 22 point performance from Torie Brooks.

Strong first quarters continued as Bryan got out to a 24-14 lead at the end of the first. This was a full team effort for the Lions in the first, as eight different Lions scored and they held Columbia to just 23.5% from the field  in the first quarter.

The 2nd quarter was all Senior Kaitlynn Hennessee, as Hennesse came right out of the gate scoring the first 7 points for Bryan. Hennessee would finish the night with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Lions would extend the lead and head into the half up 44-25.

It was a layup at the 7:08 mark in the 3rd quarter where Junion Torie Brooks would find her strides. Brooks would go onto score 10 point in the quarter. Senior Navaeh Majors would spark another run in the third quarter on a fast break layup and another three to help the Lady Lions extend their lead to 68-37 to end the third quarter.

After a pair of free throws and another three pointer from Torie Brooks, Coach Johnson subbed in the reserves and would eventually go onto win 81-65.
