Bryan Loses Heated Match at TWU

Box Score Dayton, TN - Bryan College Men's Soccer took the field at Tennessee Wesleyan University Tuesday afternoon. 
The Lions went into Athens, TN looking to snap a 3 game losing streak to the Bulldogs. It was an intense first half as both teams came ready to play. Beckham Davidson attempted the first shot of the game in the 11th minute but sent it wide right. Cesar Castro put the Lions only shot on goal in the 26th minute, but was blocked by the Wesleyan goalie. Wesleyan put in 4 shot attempts themselves, but still both teams went into the half scoreless. The first half did have its share of fouls and 6 cards were handed out. The biggest blow was to Bryan, losing Marcello Martins Rodrigues to a red card (after getting his 2nd yellow) in the 31st minute.

The 2nd half was not kind to the Lions as TWU scored the first goal of the game at the 59:29 mark. It took less than three minutes for TWU to score their 2nd of the game. The Bulldogs continued their run and took a 3-0 lead on a penalty kick in the 65th minute. TWU finished the game with an 88th minute goal giving Bryan a 4-0 loss and their 4th straight to the Bulldogs.
