Kingsport, TN - The Bryan College baseball team traveled to Kingsport to compete in the AAC Conference Tournament. The Lions took on CIU on Thursday morning. The Lions started off strong with a
Daniel Dryden solo home run to left field to give the Lions an early 1-0 lead. In the 2nd inning
Devin Ogg singled to left center to bring in
Dante Morton. In the bottom of the 3rd inning
Daniel Dryden reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on an error and was able to bring in
Parker Cosby.
Owen Napieralski singled through the right side to score
Daniel Dryden.
Danny Marquez singled to left field to advance
Bradley Prince to 3rd and score Napieralski. Marquez advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and Prince scored putting the Lions ahead 6-0. In the 6th inning
Parker Cosby hit a solo home run. In the 7th inning
Danny Marquez reached on a fielder's choice bringing in
Kade Cohoon. In the 9th inning CIU got on the board but it was not enough to break through this tough Lion defense.
Bryan advances onward with the 8-1 win over CIU.
