Kingsport, TNÂ - The Bryan College baseball team traveled to Kingsport to compete in the NAIA Opening Round. The Lions were set to take on Missouri Baptist at 11:00 AM. The Lions scored in the 3rd inning with a solo
Daniel Dryden homer. The Lions scored again in the 5th inning with a
Bryson Lofton single that advanced
Parker Cosby to 3rd and scored
Kade Cohoon. The Lions scored again in the 8th inning after
Kade Cohoon was hit by a pitch that advanced
Dante Morton to 2nd,
Bradley Prince to 3rd, and scored
Camden Fuquay. The Lions scored again the bottom of the 9th inning after
Alex Rollins reached first on an error advancing
Keeko Garcia to 2nd,
Bradley Prince to 3rd, and scored
Bryson Lofton.Â
The Lions conclude their season at the NAIA Opening Rounds going 36-20 overall and 20-8 in the conference.Â
The Lions had a historic season beginning with breaking the single game home run record with 10 total homers in one game. The Lions' had two pitchers,
Tanner Moylan and
Cameron Harvey make the AAC Pitcher of the Week along with Harvey being named the NAIA Pitcher of the Week. The Lions were ranked in the top 15 in the NAIA earlier in the season.Â
