Dayton, TN - The Bryan College Baseball team took on St. Andrews in a Friday doubleheader. For game 1, SAU started things off early in the top of the first inning. Bryan responded with a 3-run homerun from Bass Cooper that brought in Owen Napieralski and Parker Cosby. SAU responded with a 2-run homer of their own to tie things up. Danny Marquez responded for Bryan with a 2-run homer bringing in Daniel Dryden to give the Lions a two run lead going into the fifth inning. Bass Cooper hit a 2-run homerun in the bottom of the fifth inning bringing Bryson Lofton. SAU responded in the seventh inning tying things up at 7. Bryan would respond in the bottom of the inning with a single by Dryden that advanced Bradley Prince to third, Alex Rollins advanced to third on an error and would score 1 run. Danny Marquez doubled advancing Dryden to third and bringing in Prince. Bryan takes game 1 of the doubleheader 9-7.
For game 2, SAU struck first in the top of the first inning putting them up with an early 2-0 lead. In the bottom half of the inning Bryson Lofton hit a 2-run homerun bringing in Devin Ogg to tie things up going into the second inning. Parker Cosby reached first on a hit by pitch advancing Kade Cohoon to second, Dryden to third, and scoring Marquez. SAU responded in the third inning to go ahead 4-3. Bryan would tie things up with a Bryson Lofton solo homerun. Keeko Garcia reached first on a hit by pitch advancing Dryden to second, Marquez to third, and scoring Prince. Kade Cohoon hit a sac-fly advancing Dryden to third, and scoring Marquez to go ahead 6-4. Bryan would score again in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Bryson Lofton had a season record of 4 homeruns on the night helping the Lions to a 14-7 win in game 2 of the 3 game series.
