West Point, GA - The Bryan College Baseball team took on Point University on the road for games two and three of the weekend series. For game 1, Bryan struck first in the top of the first inning with a single from Bryson Lofton that brought in Parker Cosby. In the second inning Danny Marquez singled and brought in Daniel Dryden. Devin Ogg hit a sac-fly to advance Cosby to second, Dante Morton to third, and scored Marquez. In the third inning, Bradley Prince doubled to right center to advance Dryden to third and scored Lofton. Danny Marquez hit a sac-fly to advance Prince to third and score Dryden. In the fourth inning Bryson Lofton singled to bring in Cosby. Owen Napieralski walked advancing Ogg to second, Morton to third, scoring Marquez. Bryson Lofton singled advancing Napieralski to second and scored Ogg and Morton to put the Lions up 9-2 over the Skyhawks. In the seventh inning Owen Napieralski doubled advancing Ogg to third and scoring Cosby. Bryson Lofton singled scoring Alex Rollins and Ogg to extend the lead to 12-5. Bryan takes game 2 of the series.
For game 2, Point scored in the first and fourth innings with a 2-0 lead over the Lions. Bryan got on the board after a sac-fly from Devin Ogg that advanced Parker Cosby to third and scored Kade Cohoon cutting the lead to 1 going into the bottom half of the fifth inning. Bryan scored again in the sixth inning with a sac-popup that brought in Bradley Prince. The Lions scored in the top of the seventh inning from a ground out double play from Bass Cooper that would score the final run of the game from Devin Ogg. Despite the valiant effort the Lions were unable to cut the 6 run lead from the Skyhawks.
Bryan loses the series 3-1, after losing game three of the series 3-6.Â
