Dayton, TN - The Bryan College Baseball team faced off against Rio Grande on Saturday for the last two games of the series. Bryan struck first in game one with a a homer from Danny Marquez who scored Daniel Dryden putting the Lions up 2-0 early in the game. Bryan wouldn't strike again until the 4th inning when bases were loaded and Daniel Dryden was walked pushing the Alex Rollins in for another score. Danny Marquez brings in another run with a single scoring Parker Cosby and Dante Morton. The Lions would strike again with a passed ball which would lead to a Dryden score. The Lions would strike yet again with a single from Dante Morton scoring Alex Rollins. The Lions would push things out of control in the sixth inning scoring five runs pushing their lead to 13-0. The Lions take game 1 of the doubleheader. 


Rio struck first in game two in the second inning from a fielder's choice. The Red Storm would score again with a walk sending the runners around the bases. The Red Storm would extend the lead to 4-0 with a single. Bryan would finally get on the board with a single by Dante Morton in the second inning scoring Bradley Prince. Cosby brought home Mason Parker with a single. Bryan would score again in the third inning with a ground out by Owen Napieralski scoring Bryson Lofton. The Lions cut the lead to 4-3. Rio would extend their lead in the fifth inning going up 6-3. The Red Storm continue in the sixth inning scoring four runs extending their lead to 10-3. Rio takes game 2 of the doubleheader. 



Bryan splits the doubleheader but wins the series 3-1 over Rio Grande.

• Mason Parker was 1 for 2 with 1 run.

• The Lions will be back in action on February 17th to take on Montreat College.
