Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bryan Sets Scoring Record vs. St. Andrews

Dayton, TN- The Bryan College Men's Basketball team broke the team points in game record versus St. Andrews University on Saturday. It was a commanding performance from the Lions as they easily took care of the visiting Knights 107-73.

A Dalen Gales three pointer at 18:48 in the first half would give the Lions the lead and they never looked back. Two back-to-back layups by Josh Baugher late in the first half would push the lead to 23 (49-26).

Baugher would finish the day with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Baugher was one of three starters in double figures. Gales and Ian Johnson chipped in 20 and 11 respectively. For Gales, this is his second game with at least 20 points. Logan Allen and Caden Johnson continue to play well off the bench. Allen nailed three triples and finished with a career high 20 points. Johnson also knocked home three from beyond the arc and also finished with a career-high effort 10.

St. Andrews would show signs of life early in the second half as the Knights would cut the lead to just 11 (62-51) with 14:17 left. This is as close as the game would ever get as Bryan began to pour it on in droves. The game would get far out of hand as the second half progressed and eventually Coach Rekoske would empty the bench. Sophomore Kole Torres would put home a fast-break layup (3:43) and a triple (1:08) to break the Men's Basketball team points record.

With the win, Bryan moves to 3-1 in the AAC and 5-1 overall. St. Andrews falls to 1-4 in the AAC and 3-4 overall.
