COLUMBIA, SC - In a closely contested match, the Bryan College Lions faced off against Columbia International University (CIU) in a rematch of the previous season's Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) title game. The game took place at the Moore Center in Columbia, S.C., and saw the Lions fall to CIU 75-67. This win brought Bryan's overall season record to 3-1 and their AAC record to 1-1.

The game started with Bryan College taking an early lead with an 8-0 run from two Jamari Bostic threes and a pair of Dalen Gales' free throws. However, CIU quickly responded with a 10-0 run of their own, eventually taking a five-point lead into halftime at 35-30. The momentum shifted several times during the game, but CIU managed to maintain their lead. In the second half, CIU further extended their advantage, at one point leading by double digits thanks to a three-pointer, making the score 58-46 with 9:18 left on the clock.

Despite a late push from Bryan College, which included a series of fouls and a late three-pointer that cut CIU's lead to 73-65 with just 24 seconds remaining, CIU held firm. Bryan taking a 75-67 loss.
